Thanksgiving is looking a little different for most of us this year, and we'll probably also be spending a lot more time dining and cocktailing al fresco than we might have in years past.
So, blankets are cool and whatever, but have you ever tried a hot cocktail? You'll warm right up from the inside, out!

1) YOUR THANKSGIVING COCKTAIL ANSWERED: THE MULLED TODDY
Ingredients
2 parts Mulling Spices (Chai Spices, Cranberry, Apple)
1 part Bourbon
Garnishes: Star Anise, Lemon, Apple
This can also be served over ice for a delicious Mulled Whiskey
Directions
Add Mulling spices and bourbon into a saucepan in a 2-1 ratio, or crockpot. Float the lemon and apple slices.
Heat until desired temperature (do not boil)
Pour into a heat-proof glass or mug
Garnish with a star anise
2) NOT YOU AVERAGE SPICED CIDER
Ingredients
2 parts Mulling Spices (Chai Spices, Cranberry, Apple)
1 part Rum
Garnishes: Lemon, Apple Slices, Cinnamon Sticks
Directions
Add Mulling spices and rum into a saucepan in a 2-1 ratio, or crockpot.
Heat until desired temperature (do not boil)
Pour into a heat-proof glass or mug
Garnish with a star anise
3) YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH A CLASSIC (TODDY, THAT IS)
Ingredients
2 parts Citrus Sweet Tea (organic English Breakfast, Lemon, Lime)
1 part Bourbon
Squeeze of fresh lemon
Garnish: Apple slices and cinnamon sticks
Directions
Add Citrus Sweet Tea and bourbon into a saucepan or crockpot in a 2-1 ration with lemon and apple slices.
Heat until desired temperature (do not boil)
Pour into a heat-proof glass or mug
Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick
4) THE CROWD PLEASER: MULLED WINE
Ingredients
1, 32oz Bottle Mulling Spices (Chai Tea, Cranberry and Apple)
1 bottle red wine (we like a cab!)
Garnish: Fresh apple and orange slices, and assorted chai spices (cinnamon, cloves, cardamon)
Directions
Combine Mulling Spices, wine, fruits and spices in a crock pot or sauce pan (should be about equal parts Owl's Brew and wine)
Heat on low until desired temperature
Pour into a heat safe glass
Garnish with fresh apple or orange slice
5) SPIKED CHAI, FTW
Ingredients
2 Parts Chai Piña Colada (organic Chai Tea, Coconut and Pineapple)
1 Part rum
Garnish: Cinnamon stick or fresh cinnamon
Directions
Add Chai Pina Colada and rum into a pan in a 2-1 ratio
Heat on low until desired temperature
Pour into a heat safe mug
Garnish with a cinnamon stick or shake on some fresh cinnamon!
