Mother's Day is Sunday, and we've put together some easy and healthy-ish cocktails to make or to send to Mom, because let's be honest, most Mom's would probably appreciate one! These past few months have been tiring, stressful, anxiety-inducing and challenging, so remember to give mom a (maybe virtual) hug, and tell her you love her.
However and wherever you are celebrating Mother's Day this year, we see you rockstar Mom's and we're raising one to you.
1. Hibiscus Spritz
A delicious and fresh spritz. A perfect bubbly to cheers to mom!
Equal parts Strawberry Manhattan (Darjeeling, Hibiscus, Strawberry)
and Prosecco or Champagne
Top with Soda Water
Garnish with Fresh Strawberry
Chill all ingredients and pour together in champagne flute. Swirl to mix and garnish.
2. Watermelon Palmer
Spring is in the air, and what better way to celebrate than with a little watermelon (and vodka).
2oz Watermelon Margarita (White Tea, Watermelon, Raspberry)
1oz Vodka
Shake and pour over ice
Optional: Top with soda water
Garnish with fresh watermelon piece
Pour the Mixer and Vodka into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a glass. Top with soda water and garnish with watermelon slice.
3. Citrus Greyhound
The perfect brunch sipper (& we've added tea!). You can have your tea, your grapefruit juice and your cocktail all in one. Plus, a solid dose of vitamin c.
2oz Citrus Sweet Tea (English Breakfast, Lemon, Lime)
1.5oz Vodka
Splash of Grapefruit Juice (or squeeze in fresh grapefruit)
Serve chilled or over ice
Garnish with rosemary sprig and grapefruit twist
4. Chai Pina Colada
Time for a little Stay-Cation for Mom! Fresh-brewed chai tea, with pineapple and coconut. It's all the good stuff about a traditional pina, and none of the bad!
2 parts Chai Pina Colada (Chai Tea, Pineapple, Coconut)
1 part Rum
Garnish with Pineapple slice
Pour your Mixer and Rum into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a glass. Serve on the rocks and garnish with pineapple.
5. White Tea Paloma
A Paloma with a side of anti-oxidants. What could be better? Refreshing and not too sweet, it's the perfect brunch addition.
2 parts Watermelon Margarita (White Tea, Watermelon, Raspberry)
1 part Tequila
Splash of lemon juice
Top with soda water
Pour your Mixer, Tequila and squeeze of lemon into a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into a glass. Top with soda water.
Oh, and...call your mom. Happy Mother's Day!
