8 Tea-quila Cocktails to Shake Up this Weekend

We're big tequila fans over at Owl's Brew, and we've put together 8 easy and fun tea + tequila cocktails that you can mix up (or blend up!) at home this weekend. And don't worry, they are truly foolproof!

Let your inner mixologist shine!

1. Tea-Quila Crush

Step aside tequila sunrise. The Tea-quila Crush is our new summer drink.

ingredients
 
- 3oz Strawberry Manhattan (Organic Darjeeling, Hibiscus, Strawberry)

- 1 1/2oz Tequila Fresh berries

Muddle raspberries & strawberries in a shaker. Add Strawberry Manhattan mixer and tequila. Shake and serve over crushed ice.

2. Margari-tea

A tart twist on the classic Margarita. A perfect addition to your Taco Tuesday!

ingredients

- 2 parts Citrus Sweet Tea (Organic English Breakfast, Lemon, Lime)
 
- 1 part Tequila
 
- Squeeze fresh lime


 
Add all ingredients into a shaker. Shake and serve on the rocks with a lemon or lime wedge (& maybe some tacos)

3. Watermelon Margarita

Crisp & fresh! Our Watermelon Margarita is made from fresh-brewed organic white tea, watermelon, raspberry & a little citrus. White tea is the least processed of all teas, and loaded with antioxidants.

ingredients:

- 2 Parts Watermelon Margarita (Organic White Tea, Watermelon, Raspberry)

- 1 Part Tequila

- Squeeze of fresh lime

- Shake and serve on the rocks

- Optional: Add a salt rim

Add all ingredients into a shaker. Shake and serve on the rocks! If you want to add a salt rim, before you pour our your drink, take a lime wedge and go around the top of the glass. Dip the glass in salt. Then fill the glass with your cocktail!

4. Spicy Margarita

A little kick and a lot citrus makes for the perfect spicy margarita. Did we mention green tea? Our Wicked Margarita is made from organic green tea, lemon, lime and habanero.

ingredients:
 
- 2 Part Wicked Margarita (organic Green Tea, Lime, Habanero)

- 1 Part Tequila

- Squeeze of fresh lime

- Optional: Add a salt rim

Add all ingredients into a shaker. Shake and serve on the rocks! If you want to add a salt rim, before you pour our your drink, take a lime wedge and go around the top of the glass. Dip the glass in salt. Then fill the glass with your cocktail!

5. Frozen Citrus Margarita

Missing those frozen margaritas? Make one yourself! & bonus, this one has way less sugar and an antioxidant boost!

*Makes 2 drinks*

ingredients:

- 6 oz Citrus Sweet Tea (organic English Breakfast, Lemon and Lime)

- 3.5 oz Tequila (we also love vodka!)

- 1oz Lime Juice

- 1 1/2 cups of ice

- Fresh lime wheels to garnish

Combine Citrus Sweet Tea, tequila, lime juice and ice in a blender. Blend until it reaches a slush consistency. Pour into a glass and garnish with lime wheels.

6. TEA-quila Soda

Meet your new favorite Tea-quila Soda.

ingredients:

- 3 parts Boozy Tea Yellow (Organic English Breakfast, Lemon, Lime, Boozy!)

- 1 part Tequila

- Garnish with fresh lemon slice

Add all ingredients into a glass, swirl and serve over ice. Garnish with a fresh lemon.

7. Frozen Watermelon Margarita

For when you want that Margarita, but you also want to cool down. Blend it up!

ingredients:

- 6oz Watermelon Margarita (White Tea, Watermelon, Raspberry)

- 3.5 oz Tequila (we also love vodka or gin!)

- 1oz Lime Juice

- 1 1/2 cups ice

- Fresh lime wheels and mint for garnish

Combine Watermelon Margarita, tequila, lime juice and ice in a blender. Blend until it reaches a slush consistency. Pour into a glass and garnish with mint sprigs and lime wheels.

8. Spicy Margarita Popsicle

A new kind of Frozen Margarita!

ingredients:

- 3 parts Wicked Margarita (Green Tea, Lime, Habanero)

- 1/2 part Tequila

- Squeeze of fresh lime

- Popsicle molds
 

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Swirl to mix. Fill all you popsicle molds to the top. Freeze overnight.
